Your Questions Answered

Do you repair scratches or paint damage?

No — we’re paintless dent repair only. Scratches, scuffs and resprays need a body shop. For dents and hail with the paint intact, WhatsApp 07713 858418 or forthvalleydents.co.uk.

What does paintless dent repair cover?

Dents and hail where the paint isn’t broken — we massage the metal back, no filler or respray. From £140 at Unit 23A Falkirk. Not

How much does paintless dent repair cost?

It depends on the dent, so the quickest way to get a price is to send us photos. Our repairs start from £140. The price depends on the dent's size, depth and location, the access behind the panel, the material (steel or aluminium) and whether the dent sits on a bodyline. Send a photo or video by WhatsApp or through our quote form and we'll come back with a price.

How long does a dent repair take?

A standard dent usually takes under 2 hours. Bigger jobs, such as hail damage, take longer. A bodyshop can keep your car for days or weeks, but with PDR you usually get it back much sooner.

Which dents can be repaired with PDR?

Most dents where the paint is unbroken can be repaired. That includes door dings, small and medium dents, creases, bodyline dents, hail damage and dents in aluminium panels. Where we can't reach behind the panel, we use glue pull repair to pull the dent from the outside.

Which dents can't be repaired?

PDR isn't suitable when the paint is cracked or chipped, the metal is stretched too far or torn, or the dent sits on a very thick or heavily braced edge. If PDR isn't the right fix, we'll tell you after seeing your photos. Where a panel will need painting anyway, we can do a push to paint repair so the bodyshop has less work to do. We don't do paint or scratch repairs.

Will paintless dent repair damage my paint?

No. When the paint is intact, PDR massages the metal back into shape from behind or gently pulls it from the outside. There's no sanding, filler or repainting, so your original factory finish stays as it is. The repair is non-invasive and doesn't affect your manufacturer's warranty.

Can you repair hail damage?

Yes. Hail damage is ideal for PDR because the dents are usually shallow and the paint is rarely broken. Every dent is worked out individually at our workshop, which keeps the factory paint and avoids replacing or respraying panels. Send photos of each affected panel for a quote.

Can you fix creases and bodyline dents?

Often, yes. Creases and dents on a bodyline or panel edge are harder than a round dent, but many can be repaired with PDR. It depends on how sharp the crease is and whether the metal is stretched. Send a clear photo taken at an angle so we can see the crease.

Can I claim dent repair on my insurance?

Yes. Tell your insurer you want paintless dent repair carried out by Forth Valley Dents, and they can get in touch with us directly. Many small dents cost less to repair than your insurance excess, so paying directly often makes sense too.

Can you prepare my car for a lease return?

Yes. Lease return preparation is one of our core services. We remove dents and dings that would fail an end-of-lease inspection, helping you avoid damage charges. Because no paint is used, the factory finish that lease companies check for stays intact. Fleet and dealership customers can see our Fleet Work page.

What area do you cover?

We're based in the Falkirk area and serve customers across the Forth Valley and the Central Belt of Scotland, including Falkirk, Grangemouth, Larbert, Stirling, Alloa and Linlithgow. All repairs are done at our workshop: Unit 23A, Bog Road Industrial Estate, FK2 9PB.

Which vehicles do you repair?

We repair cars and vans of all sizes, as well as classic cars and aluminium panels.

How do I get a quote?

Send us a photo or video of the dent. WhatsApp is the fastest way: message 07713 858418. You can also use our quote form. Take the photo at an angle with light reflecting across the dent and tell us the vehicle make and model.

How do I book a repair?

Once you've agreed the quote, we'll book a time for you to bring your vehicle to the workshop. We work by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, so please call or WhatsApp before turning up.

How do I pay?

We take payment by bank transfer. We also offer a no-fix, no-fee guarantee: if we can't repair the dent, you don't pay for it.

What is the difference between PDR and a bodyshop?

A bodyshop usually fills, sands and repaints the panel, which can take days and means your car loses its original paint. PDR removes the dent itself without filler or paint. It's usually quicker, often cheaper and keeps the factory finish, which helps protect resale and lease value. Bodyshops are still needed when the paint is damaged.
